Amaro spritz is an Italian herbal liqueur that has a bittersweet taste and is very low in alcohol which makes it very appropriate for the autumn-winter season.
This autumnal cocktail contains mainly Aperol(Aperol is an Italian bitters apéritif made of gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona, among other ingredients. It has a vibrant orange hue. Its name comes from the Italian slang word for aperitivo, which is apero), which sometimes can be syrupy, with alcohol content between 11% and 40%. The cocktail is spicy and very warm. It’s refreshing to sip when mixed with rosé and a final flourish at the end of a good meal. The taste contains notes of citrusy orange peel, bittersweet Aperol, sweet wine, and sparkling carbonated drink or club soda.
