Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) is an highly anticipated award in Africa but the event didn’t get much buzz this year compare to its early days. The 15th Edition of AMAA took place at the Landmark Event Centre on Sunday 27th October 2019, the host were Kemi Akindoju, comedian Funnybone and Lorenzo Menakaya.
The red carpet was filled with A listers celebrities and they came with their A game style, there were sequins, frocks, bold colours, asymmetric style and so on. There were trends and some came just to make fashion statement,
The AMAAs is a premier movie awards that celebrates the best African films on the continent. Films like King of Boys won the Best Nigerian Film -King of boys was produced by Kemi Adetigba, a movie that’s the juggernaut of a political thriller and anchored by brilliant performances by Sola Sobowale and Adesua Etomi-Wellington, who both took home the awards for Best Actress and Best Actress in a Supporting Role respectively. King of Boys bagged three out of its five nominations.
