Strictly come dancing is a reality dance talent show, that features celebrities, dancers and choreographers teamed up to compete in a ballroom and Latin dance competition has canceled its wrap party show due to the fear of the new covid’19 variant – Omnicron.

The wrap party which is meant to be a Christmas party is said to be looked forward to by the celebrities and dancers but according to a source who told The Sun:

“Everyone will be gutted as it’s been such a long and painful series in many ways. There have been injuries, Covid scares and intense competition.

“Everyone was looking forward to letting their hair down and celebrating what’s been a closely-fought race.

“It would have also been the first time many of them have been back in the same room since launch, so there would have been plenty to discuss and catch up on.

But with things not quite clear how Omicron will unfold, everyone has decided to err on the side of caution and shelve the plans.”

Two judges reportedly pulled out Craig Revel Horwood, 56, and Motsi Mabuse, 40 due to the new omicron variant, and the fact that a number of dancers who refused to get the vaccine doubled the fear to all and potentially putting everyone at risk.

Celebrities like McFly’s Tom Fletcher and comedian Judi Love who caught the virus during the show were given the grace of a week off to recover and come back to the show. The Strictly come dancing boss didn’t stop at that he also went ahead to cancel the show’s Christmas/Wrap party due to continuous increase of cases of the new variant.

The new developments in the Covid’19 have now been seen as the biggest current threat to global public health. The reason why everyone is taking extra precautions, and closely monitoring the data of new cases.
