When Adele lost weight about some time back in 2020, it took us all by surprise. She looked very different and almost unrecognizable but we love it. She looks much healthier and younger than the old Adele. Apparently, some women couldn’t handle the shock and surprise, and Adele felt disappointed that women were the ones who had the most negative conversations about her dramatic weight loss.

She said in a magazine interview “My body’s been objectified my entire career,” “It’s not just now. I understand why it’s a shock.”

The 33yrs Grammy winner lost a total of 100 pounds over a two-year period, and most women think she looks too skinny and all these robbed off Adele in a negative way. She continued in her interview

“I understand why some women especially were hurt. Visually I represented a lot of women. But I’m still the same person.”

The old Adele represented a whole lot of full-figured women, losing weight might look like they are losing her and that great voice of hers. I wonder how she sounds now with her new single “Easy on Me” due to be out OCT 15 and having not seen/hear her sing since her last album in 2015.

Adele debuted her slimmer figure at Drake’s party in 2019, a fan commented saying  “Celebrating Adele’s weight loss is a garbage thing to do for a million reasons. Here are two: 1. It tells your fat friends you think their bodies are a problem to be solved. 2. The weight loss could be the result of physical or mental health struggles. Weird to cheer about!”

Adele continued her interview by saying “And the worst part of the whole thing was that the most brutal conversations were being had by other women about my body,” she added. “I was very f–king disappointed with that. That hurt my feelings.”

Adele seems to have embraced her new body and moved on. It was reported that part of her weight loss was encouraged by the relief she feels from anxious thoughts when she works out in the gym. She added to her comments during her interview that:

“It became my time, I realized that when I was working out, I didn’t have any anxiety. It was never about losing weight.”

She also said, “I thought, If I can make my body physically strong, and I can feel that and see that, then maybe one day I can make my emotions and my mind physically strong.”

Adele who was married to Simon Konecki, the father of her 9-year-old son seems to know what she wants in her support system. Meaning the people who surround her, she’s moved on with her new boyfriend Rich Paul who is known to be a good support system for her in keeping a positive mindset.

Finally, she concluded during her magazine interview saying: “Rich just incredibly arrived, I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild — and there is no second-guessing. I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge.” “The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want, “I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.”
