Valentino Couture Fall ’19

Valentino Haute Couture Fall’19 which was directed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, was full of expert craftsmanship and attention to details. It was s a dreamy, sunny flower and poppy prints down the runway. It  started with a model walking down the runway wearing a sunny floor length gown with tier feathers of chunky knit fringe.

There was a beautiful belted coat in coral colour styled with an exaggerated lilac pant and a shimmery turtleneck poking out of the coat. There were day- wears in various colour palette like emerald green(colour of the season), sunny yellow, salmon coral and so on. Trends in area of frocks, fringes, sequins, feathers, oversized bow, ruffles, sheer, balloon like silhouettes, textural embroideries, exaggerated silhouettes, matching kimonos and match-set of shorts and blazers  and out of this world accessories. The runway was also filled with diverse age and ethnic range of models. There was an updated couture version of a baggy bermuda short with matching hand painted flower overall.

The evening wears were not missing out in style, there was floral print sheer dress with a printed coat and some are very conservative in look like a pink bedazzled skirt suit with a bow tied blouse. There was a model wearing a deep plunging neck dress in a beautiful emerald green colour matching with a frock head gear. A truncated cobalt blue dress made out of a lustrous taffeta to a plunging silk-satin black attire. There are some models wearing hooded capes in tonal colours which were easy on the eye and set the runway on fire.

In conclusion, there were 71 piece range in the collection, the expert craftmen all came out with the creative director Piccioli for a bow. The style, inspiration, craftsmanship that went into designing Valentino Couture looks in overall has set a legacy for the  luxury fashion which I believe is not going any where soon. We still have many years to get over these designs from the past and of present.
