Staud Debuts 'Staud Sea', A New Swimwear Line

Staud announced its first 40-piece ‘Staud Sea” swimwear collection yesterday 4th/May/23, the collection is an expansion into the swimwear arena and it features cover-ups, one-pieces, and bikini separates with the option to build your own set. There are bold colours and bold prints and some are made with delicate fabrics like crochet, and intricate beading.

The collection also featured a black and white patchwork cut-out one-piece called Dolce, the black and white series also has a balconette and bralette bikini top and bikini bottom set, cropped top, and swim skirt set, there is also a stand-out cover-up in a form of a dress with long side slit.

In the collection, the printed pieces have a geometric design, and some in stripy designs, the geometric designs come in bikini tops and bottoms, slides, one-piece swimsuits, sarong, and mini skirt. While the stripy prints have a swim dress, one-piece swimsuit, bikini bottoms and tops, slides, and cropped sweater.

There are also muted color swimwear in the collection, a shade that’s close to skin tone ( like chocolate/caramel that will go with all skin tones), and they include, string bikini bottoms and tops, strapless one-piece, tote bags, leather slides, palazzo trousers as a cover-up, etc.

The bold-coloured pieces range from coral red to mustard yellow with a halterneck beaded bikini top and while the mustard yellow version has white patchwork incorporation, there are many other colour ways available in the collection.

The standout pieces I believe everyone will love to lay their hands on in the collection will be the crochet series, which comes in mini and maxi dresses as coverups, and bikini top and bottom, with fruit print/applique. The crochet series also have the beaded bag, straw bag, and leather slides as accessories. You can’t afford not to have the palm leaf bag as your companion this summer beach and swim days.

This won’t be Staud’s first time branching or in other words expansion, the label had also recently expanded into bridal that featured bridal dresses, bridal accessories, and occasion dresses.

The ‘Staud Sea’ collection price range from $95 to $595 with a size range of XS – Xl, and shoe size 35-42 and are available to shop at the brand’s website and Shopbop. Worldwide shipping is also available.
