Known for its innovation in women’s shapewear and underwear, Skims is now expanding its underwear collection into the men’s category. The category features collections called Skims Cotton, Skims Stretch, and Skims Sport all made with breathable fabric in tees, tanks, briefs, boxers, t-shirts, leggings, and socks, there is also the ‘bundle and save’ option when shopping in the men’s category.
The collection that stood out when navigating the brand’s men’s category is the ‘Skims Sport’ option which includes undergarments with light compressive fabric that acts as a base layer under a workout outfit, they give maximum support and aid performance.
Skims expanding into the men’s category seems like the brand is trying to tell us it’s a family-oriented brand that is ready to stay and take the leading position in the undergarment realm, I won’t be surprised when the children’s category gets launched. The men’s campaign is a celebrity-studded one (again what the brand is known for ‘A-lister’ stars) and was modeled by Neymar Jr., 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa, and NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
