Hands down, Michelle Yeoh had the best look on the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet. The 2023 Golden Globes award took place at Beverly Hills Califonia, the celebrities showed and showed up big, following the controversy of last year’s lack of diversity within the nomination lists.
The show was hosted by an Emmy winner and comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and other many winners of this year’s award from Zendaya to Cate Blanchett were celebrated. The award show and the winners were interesting, but what stole how attention the most are the red carpet looks, although not many fashion slayers showed up on the red carpet this year, the one who made up for the fashion craving is Michelle Yeoh.
Michelle Yeoh showed up in a gorgeous navy blue embellished gown by Armani Privé, the silhouettes of the Statuettes aside, all eyes were on her on this day, the gown can be described as a strapless tier embellished gown accessorised with a diamond choker necklace, chunky bracelet, studded earrings, and square shaped diamond ring, she finished the look with pointy toe shoes with her hair sleeked to the side and a very soft nude pink makeup look. While there were many good looks on the red carpet this day, Michelle Yeoh surpasses them all. The look is simple and sophisticated, the layered one-tier on the gown just added a soft edge to the overall look. The attention paid to the details of the embellishment on the gown just showed off Armani’s craftmanship and Michelle’s silhouette.
Malaysian-born Michelle Yeoh did not only steal the day for her outfit, but she also scooped an award for her talent, she won the Best Actress Musical/Comedy – ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once‘, written and directed by the “Daniels” – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. She said: “I stand here and take this all in. It’s been an amazing journey, an incredible fight to be here today, a dream come true until I came here…” and thanked the ‘Daniels’ for giving her the opportunity.
Who will think the beautiful Michelle is 60yrs, she looks 30yrs, while growing gracefully, she continued in her speech “As time went by – I turned 60 last year – and I think all of you women understand this, as the days, years, numbers get bigger, the opportunities get smaller, as well.” she appreciated the filmmakers for making a woman like her visible.
