Lack of sleep can lead to many diseses from, depression, hypertension to diabetes. Sleep is an essential part of healthy living, and sleeping for many hours does not necessarily mean a healthy sleep, but a sound 8 hours sleep is called a healthy restful sleep. A sound sleep is good for your body and mind, our five senses perceive the world around us during the day which results to memory formation both shallow and deep. Having a sound sleep, is what seems, to help in consolidating and removing some of these memories for a clearer mind. A sound sleep also helps in getting rid of harmful toxic protein waste and biological debris from the brain and body.
So what is a sound sleep, a sound sleep comes from a joyful heart, not a broken heart if you know what I mean. Having a sound sleep is sleeping for good 8 – 9 hours without interuption, without worries(either work, friends, finances or families), and regularly i.e going to bed and waking up at the same time.
Feeling of anxiety or agitation before sleep can lead to insomnia which can cause mental health issues, heart problems and so on.
We talk alot on this website about luxury skincare products and makeups to aid your already beautiful self. but the truth is without a good sleep, all will be a waste.
I don’t want to beat around the bush, there many ways you can help yourself get a healthy sound sleep – good beddings(memory foam mattresses and pillows, goose down pillows, silk pillow case and bed sheets etc.), night time oil diffuser with your favourite scents, eating good healthy foods, avoiding eating or drinking late, a good exercise regime, and finally taking care of our spiritual life.
Taking care of your spiritual life is the part of life that’s most often ignored, some say doing a meditation period in a day can help but what are you meditating on when your spirit is hungry for something more satisfying, like reading the bible, reading books that are holyspirit inspired and written by our favourite pastors all over the world, I am telling you whether you’re a christain, muslim, or non of both, reading holyspirit led books is one of the key ways to having a stable joyful heart that aids sound sleep even if the world is going upside down. The Bible says ‘The Lord gives his beloved sleep’ Psalm 127 : 2(say this word everyday and see how your sleep pattern will improve) . So who is the Lord?- Jesus, and who are his beloved? YOU and I! as long as you believe. I will recommend The Power Of Right Believing By Joseph Prince. So drop your worries and anxieties because there’s nothing you can do with it than to cause you aches and pain, allow your body and mind to rest.
