Here is the recipe below:
Ingredients:
Serves Up To 16 – You can increase the quantity if you’re entertaining a large crowd this festive season.
20 slices thick-cut bacon chopped (If you can’t find a ready chopped option, you can buy strips of whole bacon and chop it into your desired sizes).
2 bags of Kettle Brand Black Pepper or Sea Salt Potato Chips
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 of cup brown sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
1-2 spoons of teaspoon cayenne pepper
Rosemary for garnish
How To:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Take your bacon, rinse for extra precaution, then cook the bacon in a large skillet over high heat until the fat turns to oil and the bacon is just beginning to turn to crispy golden, this should take approx 5-6 minutes. once ready, pour the bacon out onto a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil
- Take out the potato chips and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, sprinkle all of the brown sugar evenly over the chips, drizzle the maple syrup evenly over the chips and add the cheese and bacon methodically on each chip so you won’t have to break the chips into too many tiny pieces when ready. For extra flavour, sprinkle all of the cayenne pepper on top then transfer it into the oven. Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes, ensure the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melted.
- Once Ready, Remove from the oven, then break the chips into chunky pieces, try and preserve the size of the original chips as much as possible. Serve warm or at room temperature. Leftovers can be kept in the fridge.
- Enjoy!
