Short suits are the new rub-up alternatives to wedding dresses, thanks to the GenZ generation that has taught us to add an edge to our wedding ceremony outfits.
Short suits are a summer’s chic and coolest option to silk and floaty dresses, it is a way of adding an edge to your look without doing too much. It can easily be styled with a pair of chunky platform sandals or keep it elevated with a pair of strappy sandals like the millennials. They are also a 90s trend that’s made a comeback two seasons ago and are still taking strides into this current season thanks to Julia Robert in ‘Pretty Woman’.
Nowadays, wearing a short suit says power and strength to any woman, and they’re no more limited to work, they can be worn to weddings, red carpet events, birthday parties, and so on. Moreso, short suits are best worn or in other words stylish if they come in bold colors or in pristine whites, they look very youthful when worn with blazers open and with a bralette, crop tops, bodysuits or t-shirts underneath.
A short suit look can easily be finished with a top handle bag and a headband to add a little bit of femininity to the androgynous look, with a mini bag to make it look trendy or a cross body if you’d rather look smart. It can also be styled with a pair of white sneakers if you’d rather prefer a youthful athleisure overall look or chic slingback pumps if you’d rather rock a classic look.
Designers nowadays have added their own interesting takes on the shorts suits trend thanks to Jacquemus with its hot pink color blazer and shorts telling us it’s the trend of the season to try, or the more affordable luxury brand like Mango who says the check is a way to effortless edge and introduced a zesty green option as a wonderful way to turn heads at any occasion.
