Spring season can be very frustrating, just because it can be warm in the day and becomes cold towards the end of the day or sometimes both day and night can be warm and cold. This is the reason why I believe planning your seasonal wardrobe before the new season emerges is the way to go. To start with, are the must-have classics that range from cardigans to light jackets for that final finish to your spring-style looks.
Cardigans are a great addition to any spring outfit, whether you’re covering up a simple tea dress, mini skirt, or tank tops they will always make an excellent light layer to keep comfy. Cardigans can not only be part of a whole outfit but they can also be worn alone as a top on denim jeans, denim shorts, utility trousers, e.t.c.
In the color horizons, you can go for pastels, neons, or neutrals like black, grey, beige, white e.t.c. There are some that come with waffle knits, cable knits, puffy sleeves, slim sleeves, oversized, chunky knits, belted, e.t.c.
A quick note, cardigans are different from sweaters. Cardigans are a type of knitted sweater that has an open front while sweaters are knitted sweaters with no opening in the front. I believe Cardigans are better than Sweaters in the spring season because they can easily be taken off when overheating, or gently placed over the shoulder as part of a stylish look ready to be worn when cold.
The advice when it comes to buying your favorite cardigans is to buy at least three pieces, a pastel, a neutral, and a neon. One can be a luxury designer piece for special occasions, while the other two can be from your favorite affordable high street brands for work and casual days off. But then, don’t be limited to just three, if you think you’re ready to splurge this spring season go for more, three pieces is a good starting point.
