Saint Laurent SS’20

The Saint Laurent SS’20 collection was filled with all black, brocade prints, animalistic prints, shorts of shorts, leather, fluidity/sequins, velvets, dark denims, asymmetrics and so on. The show was full of all things trendy and glamours(typical YSL signature) but why not go for colours especially now that we are in the season of bold colours which we’ve  seen on the red carpets, runways and fashion week’s street-styles.

The creative director of Yves  Saint Laurent – Anthony Vaccarello took his creative mind to another level by styling models in  charcoal gray, pinstriped-navy or black-rinsed denim, the short-short – the hero piece of the season, paired with everything from a menswear-inspired vest to velvet band jackets. Vaccarello took a spin on the cowboy, trust me you’re going to require a VIP pass and a golf cart escort, thanks to a stacked, vertiginous heel. Feeling more boho? Try Saint Laurent’s gold-laced prairie dresses and pussy-bow blouses. The runway was filled with denim Bermuda short, a style that’s been in season for a while now, Ysl has affirmed it continued to Spring Summer 2020. The show also featured sharply-cut blazers and ruffled button downs that will be perfect for the office. There were velvet duster coats and one-shouldered dresses that are downright lustworthy.

The YSL woman has never shied away from fashion challenge, there cut-outs, power suiting, sexy stylish looks where Stella Tennant (supermodel) opened this suite of looks in a sexy Le Smoking suit, followed by tuxedo dresses, louche tanks and sleek pants, belted jumpsuits, sheer blouses with silky detailing and denim cutoffs, all with an element of black sequins. Naomi Campbell closed the show with her killer legs and her signature walk.

If you’re after a sexy, classy, sophisticated glamorous look for this SS’20, Ysl is were to turn to because all these pieces are a sell out.
