Although known for its classic leather vanity trunk and bags, it’s announced Louis Vuitton is entering into colour cosmetics market in parthnership and led by Path McGrath – the creative director of cosmetics for Louis Vuitton. La Beauté Louis Vuitton will be the brand’s first time diving into makeup production although it has launched compacts, brushes and mirrors in the 1920s, it also re-launched its fragrance line back in 2016.

The collection is set to feature lipsticks and eyeshadows, La Beauté is a cosmetic line by Louis Vuitton expected to debut this Autumn Winter, although rumour has it that the cosmetic line might launch in August 2025 and will feature 55 Lipsticks, 10 Lip balms and 8 eye palettes.

According to the brand, the colour cosmetic collection is about “crafting a beauty experience that extends beyond products”. The brand’s creative director of women’s wear Nicolas Ghesquiere said the collection is “so beautiful and innovative, and fun and luxurious”.

With Pat McGrath the creative director of the brand’s cosmetics line we expect a new level in luxury beauty – from satin, to cream matte shimmery formulas. Although it seem a bold venture for Path Mcgrath – a makeup artist with established beauty brand to partner with Louis Vuitton – an apparel and leather goods fashion house but the relationship between the two spans back to decades and backstage makeup looks for the runway, it seem irresistible if you ask me.

The chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton Pietro Beccari said ‘La Beauté Louis Vuitton is a natural business evolution, driven by our meticulous attention to quality, formula, and innovation.”
