For us who knows Kim Kadashian, knows that she’s a lover of all things Big Shades, and we’re not talking the real housewives of Atlanta shadiness but literal Big Shade. Well, it seems she’s moved on to bigger shades, if the campaign images from her upcoming collaboration with high-fashion eyewear brand Carolina Lemke are any indication.
For the business woman that she is, Kardashian West lent more than just her name to the collection, she helped design the sunglasses and will receive an undisclosed share for her long-term investment in the brand. “She was involved in every detail and it was really amazing she doesn’t want it to be like other types of mass-market eyewear,” said Mordi Shabat, the U.S. chief executive officer of the Israel-based brand.
“I’m always looking for vintage sunglasses that no one has, so getting to create something that other people will be able to cherish as much as I do has been fun to be a part of,” Kardashian West said. “I’ve learned so many fascinating things about sun-glass design. I didn’t realise how technical it was and I’ve loved the firsthand experience at getting to see our ideas come to life.”
The collection includes six styles that range from oversized shields to retro oval and minimal, sleek, sporty styles with a “Carolina Lemke Kim Kardashian West Collection” logo at the temple. The collection, priced at $90, will be available for pre-order on March 19 at Carolina Lemke. Mark your calendar!
