From our previous news about Kenzo, the brand announced its new artistic director Nigo. Well, Nigo, Kenzo’s new artistic director has now released his first collection under his new reign.
The new limited-edition Spring 2022 capsule called ‘Kenzo Boke Flower Collection By Nigo’ has now been launched on Feb.5 and is now available in selected stores and on the brand’s website.
Kenzo said, “The Boke Flower collection translates the bold energy of KENZO’s genetics through the simplified graphic language of Nigo. The men’s wardrobe consists of iconic pieces such as the Boke Flower coach jacket and cargo pants. All the pieces of this limited-edition capsule have been created in a genderless spirit..”
Nigo’s creative mind designed comfortable wardrobe classics, like crewneck and hooded sweatshirts, jersey cardigans decorated with graphic flower prints, cargo skirts, and trousers, button-down shirts e.t.c. with a price range of €190.00 to €650.00 available for both Men’s and Women’s. The designs also feature the Japanese perception of flora that symbolizes feelings.
In the brand’s press release, it stated “In homage to Kenzo Takada, each drop revolves around the idea of elements key to the legacy of the founder. Expanding on the form and function of these motifs, Nigo draws on the Japanese sensibility of flora and fauna as signifiers of symbols and feelings.”
