H&M has made another major collaboration and this time it’s with Mugler a french fashion house who is known for avant-garde, architectural, hyperfeminine and theatrical approach to haute couture. The high street brand and the luxury brand are lauching their collection in just a few weeks and the lookbook to tease their customers are out. If you do not know Mugler, it’s a brand known for its ultra sexy designs that range from cutouts, sheerness, minis etc.
According to sources, the two brands didn’t just tease with lookbook, but also with music video. The collection spans across womenswear, menswear, and accessories that features some of Mugler’s iconic silhouettes, archives from the spring summer 2020 collection including new ones. From mesh, sexy cutouts, corsets, neon cutout blazers, cropped blazers, patchwork denm jeans, patchwork denim shirts, and most of the collection mimicked the Bella Hadid’s iconic sheer bodysuit look from Spring 2020 runway. There were also ruched mini dress with sashes in neon colour, corset suitlook, corset sweatshirt, neon structural suit for men, structural suits for women, the list goes on.
The creative director of Mugler Casey Cadwallader has used this collarobation to reach out to wider audience who are intersted in affordbale luxury, making them part of the brand’s already earned alist fans like Megan Thee Stallion, Hunter Schafer, etc. He said in a released statement;
“This collection is a watershed moment for the house of Mugler — a chance for us to celebrate our history and the pieces that we are beloved for today,” “The collaboration includes many of our signatures, from catsuits and bodycon dresses to tailoring, denim and beautiful, bold jewelry and accessories.”
Ann-Sofie Johanssom H&M Creative Advisor also said:
“Casey and the Mugler team have been incredibly generous in offering up so many of the house’s classics and signatures, which shoppers will recognize from the runway and red carpet,” she continued “The collection encapsulates the H&M ethos of sharing great fashion and democratizing design. Every piece is an icon.”
