Ganni, our beloved Danish brand is opening its first U.S stores in Newyork and Los Angeles. The brand is growing fast and it’s wasting no time capitalizing on its influencer-fueled rise to ubiquity. It’s recently expanded into categories like swimwear and handbags. The contemporary brand who is once difficult to find outside scandinavia, is now available for sale in most global retail stores like Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom, Shopbop with it’s retail site in the U.S, is now in few months opening its physical retail stores in the U.S.
The founders of Ganni husband-wife Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup already have 22 primary retail stores in scandinavia, moving into the U.S is a major dream come through.
“Ditte and I both really love the U.S. and have many great memories of road trips and wild adventures. There’s a feeling of freedom and big-time dreaming I find so appealing,” said Nicolaj Reffstrup in a statement. “As we come from a smaller, homogenous — in some ways more predictable culture, we see the U.S. as a melting pot of creativity and diversity, that has inspired us for years. It’s always been our goal to create a Copenhagen-based brand with global ambitions and these two new stores feel like an exciting step in that direction.”
The brand will be making a simultaneous entry into the U.S market via Newyork and Los Angeles. We guess the e-commerce data showed a significant high amount of customers in both cities. The New York location will be in Soho at 40 Mercer Street, while the L.A. location will be in West Hollywood at 9004 Melrose Ave, more details on the opening date will follow, so please stay tuned. It is noted that both NewYork and Los Angeles areas are highly trafficked areas with plenty customers from the country and outside the country. Ganni designs dresses, coats and jackets, shirt and blouses with new the addition of swimwear and handbags.
