Alessandro Michele- the creative director of Gucci will be presenting his next collection for Gucci at an in-person fashion show in Los Angeles on Nov. 3. The brand is returning to the US to present its new collection after six years of Alessandro Michele’s first cruise show for Gucci in New York City.

According to WWD, the show will occur at the same time(Nov’6) as an event which Gucci is the founder and sponsor of – LACMA Art + Film Gala. The brand was expected to host its cruise show in San Francisco in May last year but couldn’t take place due to the Covid’19 pandemic. It now looks like the band decided to abandon the traditional autumn-winter / spring-summer runway show model but presents us with Aria Collection – a centenary celebration of the brand’s long-standing history in the fashion industry, collaborating or as the brand said ‘hacking’ Balenciaga for the head-line making collection.

The Aria collection was debuted last month April’21 through a film he directed with Floria Sigismondi, revisiting a number of the brand’s signature designs, from the Bamboo bag to the Flora motif. Gucci is continuing with the presentation of ‘Aria Collection’ in the US in Nov’21 which seems to be the best time following the LACMA Art + Film Gala, drawing in some of Hollywood’s biggest names and predicted to be a star-studded event.

After revealing that the Aria collection will also be shown in Shangai later this spring to WWD, the brand’s creative director also said he felt “free,” giving “a natural rhythm” to the collections. “Of course, there is more responsibility in this self-pacing, and I want to be attentive to the company and position the brand in a respectful way. I see there is a very democratic movement, designers are positioning their brands in ways that will avoid getting in the way of the others.”
