OUR FAVORITE STREET STYLE LOOKS FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK
Looks from across the pons are, in a word, chic.
The biannual circuit known as Fashion Month hopped the pond last week to London, with Duro Olowu, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane and others presenting fall 2019 collections. While the runways were a continuation of the trends we spotted in New York—relaxed suiting, loads of leather, and feather-adorned coats and gowns—the streets were alive with the personality the city is known for. As Amanda Murray put it when interviewed sometime ago, “…London is a very magical place in terms of aesthetics. The architecture is beautiful, then you have this juxtaposition of people and fashion. Everyone is different and unique in their own way. It never seems contrived. Everyone has a strong sense of self, and that really shows in their fashion.” The funny thing is that United Kingdom is conservative in style but the streetstyle is nothing close to it, the people stepped out in bold and daring colours, varied prints, and futuristic style. A perfect example of this? Our favorite street style looks from London Fashion Week, shot by Mode Hunter photographer Darrel Hunter.
