I was thinking the other day on how body looks like now compare to some years ago, – I mean is at that point where my husband steps back to appreciate what I’m working with while at the beach? Well, don’t let me say too much all I know is that there are little tips and tricks that can add that perfecting finish to your body whether it’s to impress the husband or to be the baddest “bi..ch” on the beach. In as much as the reality of lounging on the beachside doesn’t always reflect the glamour associated with it – let’s start with sand patches on the feet, or wind blowing off the face, not to think of the hot sun, but reality is that all that is part of what makes the time at beach a sexy moment. So in today’s article, to ensure we feel confident, we’ve put together a few hacks to perfect the body, face and hair also can withstand sand, heat and humidity without the insecurities:
1. Sand Proof Your Body With The Use Of Sand-Proof SPFs And Non-stick Body Products:
There are many suncream on the market right now due to their importance in any beauty routine – think of preventing DNA damage then you’d know what I mean, but the truth is finding the right one with the right texture for summer season can be daunting. The best ones will glide on the skin effortlessly, can be used as a canvass under a makeup perfectly, lightweight without the greasiness etc, and most importantly finishes on the skin without the white cast, to take it up a notch let it contain a bit of bronzy shimmer glow for that shimmery glassy skin while on the beach, and best of all works on all skin type. The tip? add your favourite liquid highlighter if you can’t find the glowy finish option.
2. Refresh The Skin Frequently:
While at the beach we can’t over stress the importance of refreshing the skin when lounging in the sun, because the pores overworks in hot weather due to large amount of oil production and sweat, the use of a good refreshing face mist will give the skin the refresh and hydration it needs to bounce back hence reducing the effect of the weather – we are talking of finding cooling, hydrating and calming formulas as essential when hunting for one. More so, if you have oily skin, after misting, use a soft muslin square to softly pad down the skin then go in with your hyaluronic acid serum to hydrate, then finish by re-applying your SPF. Tip? re-apply your SPF frequently just as you refresh the skin with a mist.
3. Wear Lightweight Makeup Products:
Lounging in the beach does not require much as we are already looking sexy, so keeping the makeup look very natural is essential. A soft tinted moisturiser and soft pink lips with separate lashes are all the look you need as long as you stick to long wearing formulas, water proofs and lightweight. You can try jewel toned mascara for a pop of colour or go for hot orange-red lips with barely there eyes. Tip? Mix you bronzer with your favourite moisturiser for a soft summer glow. You can also invest in a simple multi tasking blush to use on both the cheeks and lips, some makeup lover will even go as far as mixing their blush with there bronzer to sculpt the face… it all summer fun!
4 . Stick To A Manageable Hair Style
You are most advised to sleek back your hair or style it to a top knot, as long as it’s off your face this will allow your beauty to radiate more, show off your natural face and head shape and most importantly save yourself from the stress of wind blowing your hair to your face. While sticking to a manageable hairstyle, it’s good to also think of what products can be used on the hair in a hot weather season. We best recommend a balmy hair oil to tame flyaways on the hair lines and to keep the hair hydrated while in the salty water,. Another product worth considering will be a hair sun spray, as we protect our skin from sun exposure which can cause a DNA damage to the skin , it’s also good to protect our scalp form sun damage that can lead to loss of hair. Tip? Try a braided ponytail hairstyle finished with red lips.
5. Finally, Prep Your Skin Before The Beach:
We are not all born perfect but if we learn how shape shift we definitely can hit the ‘perfection’ mark – since a well masked lumps and bumps like spider veins and uneven skin tone can give a boost of confidence so it’s no brainer to carry out a good pre-beach prep before stepping out. A healthy radiant skin with sun kissed is the goal, so you’re most recommended to exfoliate and moisturise your body before going in with your favourite self tan for streak free result.Tip? Avoid cracked heels as the self tan can settle in between the lines but rather rub in a good balm or oil everyday, this will allow you to show off your smooth heels while sipping kool-aid.
