This 2023 valentine’s season the best place I will recommend, for all your date night and dinner plans is ‘Manteca’. It’s an Italian restaurant based in Shoreditch. Its menu features the tantalizing taste of’ brown crab cacio pepe with a stuffed pig’s snout’ or the pig skin ragù ragù soaked in parmesan cheese etc, you’re sure to get your appetite satisfied.
The restaurant is the brainchild of two chefs, the best in London, another menu to check out when you get there is the ‘fazzoletti with duck ragu’, made with hearts and gizzards then braised in red wine and stock, the ‘pig skin ragù’ has become London’s classic menu, and according to head chef the meal was made with the use of excess skin they ended up with after buying so many whole pigs. The restaurant also has some healthy options like salads and veggies but it will be hard to eat only just greens when you get there.
The meats and porks are all juicy and crispy in the right places, and for the dessert, I will recommend the light but potent chocolate tart that was made from whey, and for the beverage try Mi-To cocktail’. and the homemade artichoke amaro. . The restaurant’s food is, without doubt, flavourful, and the environment is spacious with a relaxing ambiance, great for a special night out for meat eaters, and pasta lovers.
