So, let’s talk about Moschino’s new ad campaign, if you’re following, you’d know that Moschino’s SS’22 collection was inspired by the nursery, making it an overall retro-inspired look. When the news that the ad campaign was out, it was so exciting to look forward to what the theme will look like behind the lens of the Iconic photographer Steven Meisel.
Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott has always worked well with Steven Meisel, and the outcome of both heads is always an excellent result. So, when the match made in heaven came together for the Spring 2022 campaign, they looked no further than to choose the best of the models, like Imaan Hammam, Mika Schneider, Gigi Hadid, Amar Akway, and Abby Champion.
Miesel and Scott put these models together to create a fabulously well-curated ad campaign that was shot in a studio with a soft pink-blue background. The models were styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele where she puts Scott’s SS’22 nursery-inspired designs together to create what the models should wear. The result? ‘Fucking Fabulous!’.
The overall direction of the campaign was well executed (directed by Jason Duzansky), from hair which was styled by Guido Palau to makeup (by Pat Mcgrath).
The looks were giving like the 60’s vibe, the playful styling is yes! and the muted/minimal studio settings allow the clothing designs to shine more and overall a timeless look.
