If you don’t know Amanda Gorman, she is the poet who was chosen to write and deliver an original poem, “The Hill We Climb” for the inauguration of President Joe Biden early this year.
Estee Lauder, an American multinational manufacturer, and marketer of prestige skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products has just announced its three years partnership with Amanda Gorman. As part of this partnership, a contribution of $3million will be donated to Writing Change, a charity whose cause is to advance literacy as a pathway to equality among girls and women.
The new beautiful talent that has just been added to Estee Lauder’s book will be bringing her voice to the brand’s spring 2022 campaigns.
According to Newyork times, Gorman (23 years old) will become the first Estée Lauder “Global Changemaker” compare to the face/ambassador/spokeswoman in as much as she’s all.
“I’m never just lending my body or my face,” Gorman said. “They are getting my spirit, my breath, my brain.” She said in an interview with Vanessa Friedman of Newyork Times.
The poet will be representing Estée Lauder’s flagship brand in ad campaigns and speaking events, something that Liz Hurley and Carolyn Murphy do for the brand. Liz Hurley is known to be the global ambassador of The Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign and Carolyn Murphy is an Estée Lauder brand Global Brand Ambassador.
The Poet Laureate also said in her interview with New York Times “rather than letting the world tell me what I should be doing” — or not doing — “I realized this is my moment to tell the world what it needs to get done.”
