Sheglam Pout Perfect Lip Plumper Is A Dupe Of Tarte Maracuja Lip Pump

Going through Instagram looking for what’s new in the makeup realm I discovered the Shegalm Pout Perfect Lip Plumper. This I have seen before but where and by whom? then I remembered the viral Tarte Maracuja Lip Plump video that was spotted on YouTube shorts. Almost every blogger testified the tarte maracuja to be the best. I believe the innovation in this product made it stand out which is the fact that it’s lipgloss in a stick form. We’re used to the liquid version of lipgloss, the stick formula made all very inquisitive thence aiding its sale. Stick lipgloss is becoming the new lipstick now, and the packaging? we love it so much, that we hope no brand will come up with lipgloss in a bullet size like lipstick, otherwise lipstick will swallow it up. It will look inferior and we don’t want that. The stick pen packaging is just what stick lipgloss needs. This prompted me to buy the newly launched Sheglam Pout Perfect lip plumper, so what’s our experience of it here at Covet? come let’s dive into it.

Starting with the original Tarte Maracuja Lip Plumper, we made a stop at the brand’s website according to what we found out, it’s an all-in-1 plumping balm, with gloss and color finish. It has a hydrating treatment formula with tingle-free plump, it contains hyaluronic acid and 10 superfruits to moisturize. It’s non-sticky and smooths the look of lip lines, available in 18 shades- some old shades and some new shades. Finally, how much? it will set you back £26.00.

Now let’s talk about the dupe Sheglam Pout-Perfect Shine Lip Plumper. It’s a stick lipgloss with all the plumpness without the pain, it delivers a high shine with color saturation, it contains coconut oil and it’s non-sticky. So what’s our experience with this stick lipgloss – First it’s an affordable luxurious product, it’s non-sticky and it requires less muscle work when applying it. It’s not so lightweight but mid-weight(not heavy either), It feels so balmy and hydrating on the lips I guess it’s due to the coconut oil and it smells like coconut. We also did some eating tests to see if it will be long-wearing – yes! it passed the test, the gloss and the shine stayed on after a bowl of cereal with no need to top it up. The pigmentation is medium coverage which is expected in lipglosses. It can be worn alone or as a top-up on any colored lipstick and is available in 12 shades. Now how much? £4.49!

Finally, comparing both products, they both have the same formula type, and the packaging is exactly the same. They both have the plumpiness without the pain effect. Although Tarte has more shade range than Sheglam the amount of money you save opting for Sheglam is huge. To be honest the buying decision is all up to you as a consumer and it’s if you prefer luxury to drugstore and vice versa.
