Kanye West, also known as ‘Ye’ has decided to take his creativity to another level. If you don’t know, Ye signed a 10 years collaboration deal with Gap back in 2020. The collaboration was said to focus on designing elevated basics for Men, Women & Kids at affordable/accessible prices.

So, now, the 44 yr old rapper has decided to use his creative mind in knitting a cocktail of the best brands to produce affordable elevated basics.

Ye the owner of the Yeezy brand that’s currently worth over $2 billion, decided to loop in his designer friend Demna Gvasalia – the creative director of Balenciaga and a Georgian designer in his ongoing Gap collaboration. So the question is, Is it a ‘Balenciaga x Gap’ collaboration? The answer is no but a ‘Yeezy Gap By Balenciaga’ collaboration.

Demna is known for his creativity in the Balenciaga brand and a very good friend of Kanye West, who has in the past oversees Ye’s Donda project and in the style evolution of Ye’s ex, Kim Kardashian. Balenciaga, is a luxury fashion house founded in 1919 by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, Gap, is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer founded in 1969 by Donald Fisher and Doris F. Fisher, and Yeezy is a luxury fashion brand known for its awkward designs in sneakers and clothing own by the rapper Kanye West, popularly known for its Adidas x Yeezy sneakers collaboration.

So when these three heads get together, you know you’re getting the best. Balenciaga and Yeezy are known for their awkward creative mind but always come up with very stylish pieces, they both have a way of making all believe the weird innovation is the way, and we always jump on the trend wagon, I mean crocs’ foam clogs now have heels thanks to Balenciaga, we now have a croc-like skeleton inspired comfortable foam clogs thanks to Yeezy. “I hope it’s not too much, blame the two awkward brands”. The mixture of these brands says ‘grande’ to everyone and the good thing about this upcoming project is that they will be available at affordable prices.

The “Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga” will be available sometime this year with other Yeezy Gap releases. We will keep you updated.
