The relationship between the Kardashian family and Dolce & Gabbana have been on the media lately starting with Kourtney’s wedding to Dolce & Gabbana launching Kim Kardashian SS’23 collection. It’s no surprise when the brainchild brand of Kim Kardashian – Skims, announced to have launched a collaboration collection with the luxury Italian brand.
Although the launch was a surprise to some of us but it’s nothing Skims has not done before, the revolutionary shape wear brand has collaborated with many luxury brands in the past starting from Fendi, to Swarovski and it’s only a 5 year old new brand which has made a huge impact in the fashion industry. Rumour has it as the most talked about brand amongst women, from lunch time chit chat to social media rave.
The collection featured leopard print pieces, a dolce & Gabbana signature and some sheer along with cotton. It range from body suit, to tank tops, boxers, bralette, panties, mini and max dresses etc. The price range from £48.00 to £692.00 in sizes xxs to 4xl.
According to Dolce & Gabbana’s website, the brand said “Where Dolce&Gabbana’s Italian lifestyle meets SKIMS’ distinctive design: an exclusive, limited-edition collection is born. Sensual, confident, and effortless, this unique collaboration celebrates the beauty of the female silhouette”

The campaign was launched last week and it featured Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian impersonating the 1930’s era, a good impression of Sophia Loren – an Italian actress from the Golden age of Hollywood cinema. The image was captured by Nadia Lee Cohen(a British artist, photographer, filmmaker, and model) in everyday lifestyle moment coloured in classic 1930s black and white mix.
