The three days event was packed full of all things trend, from frocks , sequins, ruffles, patchwork, bold colours, prints to sheer. It was all things grande.
We saw our favourite designers from Tiffany Amber to Pyer Moss to Kenneth Ize, the runway was filled by some of the biggest African and international designer along with the iconic super models like Naomi and Uluchi who set the runway on fire. Iconic supermodel, Noami Campbell was spotted wearing Lanre dasilva, Esteban Cortazar. Mai Atafo, Okunnoren, Deola Sagoe and so on.
Naomi Campbell who announced during the fashion week that she, in partnership with the Gucci brand, is set to launch an ambitious fashion fellowship in universities in Lagos, Ghana and Cape Town in a bold move aimed at unleashing the hidden talents that abound in Africa as a continent.
The Arise fashion week 2019 which was birthed a decade ago was described as the most beautiful runway in Africa’ it’s a fashion mecca. AFW is known for shining the light on the continent through fashion and also contributed to the arts and tourism sector of Lagos state.
